I have struggled with my own racial background (Mexican/Danish), mainly because I felt pressured to pick a race. I have traveled extensively and I grew up in a predominantly Af/Am neighborhood. My brother and sister are bi-racial (Af/Am/Danish). My friends are Af/Am and white and I seem to be accepted easily into their circles, however I have not found that acceptance into the Latino community.
