Independent thinker, assertive and playful. I take citizenship seriously, always vote, volunteer for things I consider important, write my elected representatives regularly. Liberal but not bleeding heart. Particularly interested in women's issues, civil liberties, and doing something to make things better rather than complaining inaction. Agnostic and not pleased with the history or effects of organized religion.

After 35 years, several failed relationships I met "on line", fell in love with, married my husband who is black. I never thought life would be so wonderful. Everyday we fall deeper in love with one another. We both strive to learn more, and we teach our children that life is what we make it; that the color of our skin does not make us who we are. He has 2, I have 3, ages 8 to 20. The youngest being F8.

Hi! I'm a thirty-four year old AfAm male from Central California. I'm living the American Love Story with a wonderful wife and three kids (one teen from my wife's previous marriage, and two of our own). While I have no illusions of "color blind societies" I think color should have the same significance as shoe size or eye color in our lives.

In 1968, I married a Black man. My traditional Jewish parents didn't speak to me for two years. In 1970 I gave birth to our son and my parents began speaking to us. In 1975, while we were on vacation in Rhode Island, my husband was killed in a car accident. In 1977, I married another Black man, a musician. We divorced in 1982, but still remain friends. I have led a rather interesting life.

I am a white female in an interracial marriage. This is my second interracial marriage, the first was to a black American male and ended in divorce, currently I am married to a Black male who immigrated from the Carribean. This presented both cultural and racial differences within the relationship. I have two female children, one from the first marriage, one from the second. I would like to see this country become a place where race is not an issue.

I am 26 year-old professional, single woman. I am bi-racial. I grew up in an international, multi-cultural environment. I have traveled extensively in the United States and Europe. I am often mistaken for nationalities and racial backgrounds other than my own, and am intrigued by how I am treated based on other people's assumptions.
